Campbell CE recovering from NJ auto accident

StanfordBloomberg News Campbell Soup Co. the Camden food company said yesterday that chief executive officer Douglas Conant was injured in an automobile accident in New Jersey on Thursday and is recuperating from weekend surgery. Conant was a passenger in the back of a company car operated by his driver when it and a second vehicle collided on the New Jersey Turnpike Anthony Sanzio a Campbell spokesman said in a telephone interview yesterday. The executive suffered broken ribs and other injuries Sanzio said without elaborating. He also said the driver suffered cuts and bruises.
