(GM) Finance Minister Korn Chatikavanij said Friday. The Thai government is aiming to provide assistance to the local autoindustry including parts producers not just for any one company said Korn. He didn’t elaborate on what sort of aid the government is contemplating tohelp shore up the domestic auto industry. The Thai unit of General Motors said Wednesday it is seeking the Thaigovernment’s support to facilitate funding for its investment in a THB15 billion($426 million) diesel-engine and one-ton pickup project.
