The company warned of a loss in its fiscal first quarter to Dec. 31 andtrimmed investment noting double-digit percentage falls in auto productionacross every world region. The Milwaukee-based company derives two-thirds of its revenue from the autosector providing seats interiors and batteries to a worldwide customer base. It is the latest auto supplier to cut or drop guidance following Lear Corp. Johnson said it had “ample” liquidity and “a strong balance sheet” amidconcern that suppliers could be pushed into bankruptcy by the woes of theDetroit Three auto makers as they continue their pursuit of a federal bailout.
