Gordon was docked 100 points and crew chief Frank Kerr wassuspended for six races and fined $100000 after NASCAR inspectorsfound an unapproved front bumper cover on his No. 7 Dodge duringopening day inspection for the Daytona 500. Gordon knew the penalty was coming but he said Friday he wasshocked by the severity.
