Bajaj Auto to roll out more efficient two-stroke bikes

The legendary two-strokes enginetechnology which was launched in the early 1990s (Bajaj Chetak Kawasaki Bajaj100) have already been launched in three-wheelers as gasoline direct injection(GDi) which is superior with increased mileage and substantially less emission. The company is likely to customise the GDi technology for its two-wheelerproducts in the next few months. Bajaj Auto has introduced directinjection technology as the GDi name suggest replacing the carburettor whichdelivers better fuel efficiency and higher power (torque) than the conventionaltwo-stroke engines. It also meets the stringent emission norms with 50% lowercarbon monoxide ((CO) and 25% lower hydrocarbons and nitrous oxides (HC+NOx)than the earlier two-stroke engines which were phased out by two-wheelercompanies because they failed to meet the required emission norms.

Police said theauto trolley driver M Jagan 50 of Amberpet had gone to unload fruits at themarket on Thursday night. After completing his work Jagan was parking hisvehicle near a function hall when three persons-Srinu Gopal and Shabbir-said tobe local goons reportedly demanded mamool from Jagan who refused to payit. Enraged by this the trioconfined Jagan in a room and beat him up. They even tried to hang Jagan.
