a China-based auto parts supplier said Tuesday it agreed to sell 3 million new shares of its common stock for $8. 65 per share in a private placement. The news sent Wonder Auto shares down 93 cents or 9.

The 75-year-old Lutz is GM’s vice chairman for global product development and is shepherding development of the Chevrolet Volt. The Volt is an electric sedan that can be recharged by plugging it into a household outlet. Lutz’s automotive career spans more than four decades. He came to GM in 2001 after a stint as chief of the battery maker Exide Technologies and held executive jobs at Chrysler Ford and BMW.
