– Kyle Busch held off Matt Kenseth by. 305 seconds in a green-white-checkered finish that took the Arizona. Travel 200 NASCAR Busch Series race three laps beyond its posted distance Saturday at Phoenix International Raceway. The victory coupled with his Craftsman Truck Series win at Phoenix on Friday night put Busch in position to record an unprecedented triple in Sunday’s Checker Auto Parts 500 Nextel Cup event — winning a race in each of NASCAR’s top three national series at the same track on the same weekend. In his final Busch Series start for Hendrick Motorsports Busch led all but one of the last 116 laps (132 overall) collected his fourth win of the year and his 11th in the series.

– Team owner Roger Penske said Saturday hehasn’t decided if he’ll move Kurt Busch’s points to Sam Hornish Jr. to guarantee the driver a spot in the first five races of nextseason. Hornish is leaving the IndyCar Series for a full NASCAR schedulenext season but his No. 77 Dodge won’t be one of the 35 carslocked into the first five races of the year. As a former serieschampion Busch has a provisional that he could fall back on shouldhe fail to qualify on speed.

It has demanded a10%-12% excise duty on small cars and changing its definitions to include allfour-metre cars of up to 1500 cc engine capacity. Currently only 1200 ccpetrol and 1500 cc diesel cars up to four metres length qualify as small cars.
