— NASCAR Nextel Cup Series qualifying has provided Jeff Gordon with some surprises this season. The four-time Cup champion had another one Friday winning his series-leading sixth pole of 2007 after having to wait for all the rest of the cars entered in Sunday’s 3M Performance 400 to make their qualifying runs. Gordon had a lap of 189.

com – Business – Auto sector stalls growth in wholesale August 18 2007 TTAWA–Wholesale sales grew only 0. 2 per cent in June as a rise in sales of "other products" was largely offset by a decrease in the automotive sector. Excluding the automotive sector sales grew 0. 6 per cent in June from May. Wholesale sales for the second quarter were down for the first time in nearly four years largely due to the sluggish automotive sector. There were June increases in the "other products" sector up 2.
