The Hino-Guangzhou Auto venture will use 2. 4 bln yuan of the investment to acquire and restructure light-duty truck and mini-bus maker Guangzhou Yangcheng Automobile Co Ltd in which Guangzhou Auto owns a 50 pct stake. The venture will also absorb Shenyang Shenfei Hino Automobile Manufacturing Co another Hino joint venture which is based in the northeastern province of Liaoning and has made losses since its establishment in 2000.
