India’s Motherson Sumi signs auto parts jv with Japan’s…

Motherson Sumi will hold 49 pct in the joint venture – Calsonic Kansei Motherson Auto Products Ltd – while the Japanese auto parts maker will hold the remaining 51 pct. In a statement to the National Stock Exchange Motherson said the unit is slated to begin production in 2009 with the manufacture and sale of air conditioning units for Japanese car makers that have operations in India. No financial details were disclosed.
