The increase in sales comes amid stronger consumer confidence as Australia’s unemployment rate fell to 32-year lows and concerns of further interest rate hikes eased. That boost in confidence appears to have outweighed higher fuel prices. The VFacts survey found new auto sales in Australia rose 6.
