– Steady rains forced postponement of Sunday’s Autism Speaks 400 Nextel Cup race making the third time in five events that rain has delayed a race in NASCAR’s top series. Top auto group exec Thursfield may leave Cerberus: report

Reached at his home in London late Thursday Thursfield would neither confirm nor deny that he was leaving Cerberus the paper reported. Cerberus spokeswoman J. Rissi also declined to comment on Thursfield’s status it said. Thursfield the former head of Ford Europe and the automaker’s global purchasing division joined Cerberus in May 2004 after retiring from the Dearborn automaker.
