Massa won his second straight Formula ne race Sunday forFerrari holding off McLaren rookie Lewis Hamilton at the SpanishGrand Prix by 6. A third straight runner-up finish saw Hamilton pass team founderBruce McLaren to become the youngest driver to lead the standings. The 22-year-old Hamilton has 30 points.

Chairman Rahul Bajaj repeatedly has denied the rumors but the speculation persists. The spin-off is expected to sharpen Bajaj’s focus on its manufacturing activities at the operating level and give its shareholders shares in the new company. Bajaj currently holds 74% each in the life and non-life insurance joint ventures with the Allianz group and half the shareholding in an auto financing unit and details of the break-up will be closely watched. Bahujan Samaj Party scored a decisive victory over incumbent and bitter rival Samajwadi Party by cornering more than half the seats contested in Uttar Pradesh’s Assembly of elected representatives. The achievement brings to an end 16 years of coalition politics that took a toll on development in the state which is today counted among India’s most underdeveloped regions.
