– Former IRL IndyCar Series champion Dan Wheldon hit the wall Wednesday night not long after turning the fastest lap on the first of two days of an open test under the lights at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The IRL will open its season for the first time with a night race on the 1. 5-mile Homestead oval on March 24.

Thehighly technology-driven auto refinish 2k paints business is part of ICI?soverall auto-refinish operations. VS Ram CE of Asian PPGIndustries said: ?A definitive agreement to this effect has been signedbetween PPG Industries and ICI India on Tuesday. Since PPG is the technologypartner of ICI India for the auto refinish 2k business the agreement has beensigned between the two parties. However ICI India?s 2k business will betransferred as a going concern to Asian PPG Industries which is an affiliate ofthe PPG group in India.

A gang of six auto drivers has been arrested for committing a series ofburglaries in flats in the westernsuburbs. The six all in theage gro-up of 21-26 years chatted up passengers and local vendors to zero in ontargets?locked apartments with owners away for a week or two. They madeaway with cash jewellery and electronic gadgets. Police said the gang chosehouses on desolate stretches or those with no security guards.
